3rd Young Scholars Conference of CPS

15-16 February 2015
on

POLITICS, POLICY AND DEVELOPMENT

With the emergence of governance as a dominant paradigm in the global political discourse and development being considered as ‘the objective’ of the political, this year’s CPS Young Scholars Conference invites proposals on the theme Politics, Policy and Development. The objective of the Conference is to encourage CPS scholars to dwell on these three themes, separately or collectively. The questions which we intend to raise for deliberations are: how these three concepts interact with each other? How do they get into conflict with each other or how political leaders negotiate these conflicts? What are the possible areas of their collaboration? What have been the global experiences in understanding these concepts? Where does Indian case fit into this debate? We will be happy to have contributions which look into conceptual, theoretical and empirical aspects of these three issues. Details related to the conference are given below.

Points to remember:

Only the students of the Centre for Political Studies can submit a paper for the conference. The conference is not open to everyone.

In order to take part in the conference as a paper presenter the scholar has to submit an abstract of maximum 250 characters. We have also come up with an online submission system. Those of you who are interested in sending proposals can go to the CPS website and click on the link https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=3cpsysc to submit your abstract and update your paper in case of an acceptance.

The abstract should contain the objectives, methodology and structure of the proposed paper.

The details of the paper submission will be uploaded on the website very soon.
